Rapid is looking for an established Mechanical Engineer, to work in a balanced environment of Designing, Product Development with Shop/Field & Direct Corresponding with End-User. Job Summary/Required for this Role:

  • Participate with sales team developing solutions/working with scope of work, assist in bid and sales drawing/layout, “develop unique, out-of-the-box ideas regarding material handling solutions”
  • Develop build drawings, work closely with shop on in-house fabrications, validating customer wants and needs along with “As Built” updates, maintain records and project storage in an efficient manner
  • Develop new, or improve upon existing, products, systems and methods.
  • Take charge of installation of components and/or equipment by implantation of products where engineering supports is required
  • Strong understanding of engineering principals, test and measurement tools
  • Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Solid Works and/or Inventor a plus
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience in either Automotive, Appliance or Industrial Conveyors with minimum of 2 years work experience
